Basics
Please read At this Point in Time too, some points are repetitive, sorry, will straigthen all of this out over time
- This Trip/Journey is planned and put together by me @ GGM Direct, Inc., Travel arrangements, like flights, Insurance and some Hotels are booked through Renate @ Anchorville Travel and the Major Bus Company in Germany is Weiherer Busreisen
- This is a Rudy Family and Friends Christmas Trip!!! Let’s get in the Christmas Spirit the old fashioned/country way!
- Karin and I will take up to 24 friends, we will pay our own way, which will keep the price down for everybody!
- We will have a 46+ seat 4 star bus with refrigerator (cold beer and wine can be bought from the driver while on the road) and a small on board kitchen to warm sausages and make coffee.
- I will work on the cheapest price possible and still go in style.
- Some Hotels will be basic and all are clean with in room bathrooms (where Karin and I would stay anytime). They might not be with any star rating, but some are picked for their location.
- Tour will be 16 days with the possibility to add days and more.* As we include the Thanksgiving weekend, you might only need 10 vacation days
- The tour ends in or near Munich. So let us know if you want your tour extended.*
- If you want to extend the trip, please realize, that the daylight there is about 1 hour shorter each day. If you just plan to veg out, it gets a little depressing.
- For you retired folks, if it is too much for you in the end, add a day our two in one of the many great spa resorts in the area before going home! If you are interested to extend with a German Spa stay, contact me for some valid pointers.
- Some entrance fees and attractions are included in the price.
- We will spend 6 nights in a hotel, close to the home base of the bus, that we do not pay for accommodations for the bus driver and with a possible change of drivers, we can extend the time somewhat to spend in the locations we visit and do not have to figure in a day of rest for the driver in the middle of the trip (European Bus Driving Laws – Lenkgesetz).
- I will try to pack as much punch into this trip, while still being able to enjoy it.
- I am using $1.20 as exchange rate to the Euro, to figure out the projected prices. Will be adjusted for the fixed costs in the end.
- At this point we will compile a list of friends or family interested to come along on a first come basis. Cut off will be at 24 participants, beyond that we will add 10 more names, which will be given the chance to come along, if a seat in the 24 opens up at the point of committing ( when the deposit comes due). To get on the priority list, please send me and email. If you do not have my personal info, I have a Gmail account starting with knoedl3, can be messaged on Facebook or for direct contact I will email or message you my landline number. On the trip I will have a Cellphone with me and can then be reached on Whats App.
- Some bookings will be done by me and others will be handled by Renate from Anchorville Travel.
- We recommend a Travel Insurance, including trip cancellation insurance, talk to Renate about it.
- If somebody pays the deposit and has to cancel, we will refund the deposit only if all the places are filled and, somebody to take your place is found or if we cannot get the participants together and have to cancel, at which point all money will be refunded.
- Karin and I will not be liable for anything happening to you, consider this a trip, which you booked yourself, so you are covered by the airlines, the bus company, venues and hotels, not by us. So, we recommend a travel insurance, with emergency medical evacuation, talk to Renate about it.
